It’s fun to watch the seasonal transition from winter to spring in Seattle. Everyone literally breaks out of their sweater, jackets, and windbreaker cocoons into sporting brighter colors and shorter hem lengths. I’m no different and loving every sunny, spring day Seattle has to offer!
This spring season I feel particularly drawn to shape shift dresses. Their simple, elegant, and so easy to toss on. The key to finding the perfect shape shift dress for your body type is paying attention to length and material. This dress hits right above the knee for me. Any longer and the dress may have cut the proportions of my body instead of flattering it. I’m also petite so I look for materials that don’t weight me down especially for a shape shift dress. The dress material of this dress is nice and light! A bonus for this shapes shift dress is the cutout in the back! It was an unexpected, but fun feature of the dress.
I’m feeling especially wild in this colorful print. The touch of yellows, dominance of red, and blushes of blue scream its spring! The simple cut of the dress paired well with the bold print. With such a loud print, I kept the rest of the look very simple. You see my favorite spring heels make another appearance along with my vintage Dooney & Bourke bag. I finished the look with silver accents and my everyday wrist jewelry.
