Fun Fact about Me: I’m a huge bargain shopper. I love thrift stores, secondhand stores, clearance racks, and discount stores. I find the thrill in hunting for great pieces with an affordable price. I’ve always embraced getting more for less, especially since I’m always adding on to my wardrobe. This entire look featured today was shopped and styled all at discounted prices.

This darling printed day dress by Coincidence & Chance and knit scarf by Urban Renewal was snagged from Jeremys Department store in San Francisco.(Both Coincidence & Chance and Urban Renewal are retailed in Urban Outfitters.) Jeremys is a discounted retailer carrying both designer and department store brands. This amazing store had 40% off Women’s Apparel on top of the already marked down prices. So I lucked out and grabbed the dress for only $23 and scarf for $4!

The rest of my look also came at a bargain. I found these pair of Nine West Booties from Nordstrom Rack in the clearance section for just $36. And I picked up this cozy white cardigan at Forever 21 for just $13.

There’s two things to keep in mind to ensure you shop and save. The first is to have an understanding of what key pieces you want to add to your wardrobe. For fall, I wanted a new pair of black booties, a cozy cardigan, and a printed day dress I could wear on warmer fall days. So when you stumble upon a great deal and you know its an item you’ve wanted in your closet, you can purchase the item without any hesitation!

The second is having the patience to shop save. It can be really time consuming checking out the clearance racks or going to secondhand or discounted stores. But if you find the thrill in the shopping hunt or if you really want to save as you shop, keep in mind that it also pays to be patient!
