Its easy to slip into the Northwest uniform: the dark jeans, a white tshirt, maybe a flannel and a Northface tokeep you warm. The long winter days we experience in the Northwest darkens both the weather and our wardrobes. And its easy to forgo any touch of color other than navy, white, black, purple, and dark green. For this post of the Northwest Edition, I’m bringing back a little lightheartedness and a little print to the Seattle winter wardrobe with a printed, oversized kimono.
The aztec print inspired kimono cardigan is comfortable, easy to wear, and most importantly, easy to style. Throw it over a basic tank like me, or pair it with a flowy cream top. Swap out your usual grey or black cardigan with a printed kimono. The lightness of the fabric adds movement and dimension while the hues of orange and red bring a pop of color. The kimono cardigan is a trend that I’ve carried from fall into winter and can easily see it withstanding through spring.
