There’s so many changes that happen as we transition into the fall
season. I literally feel the warm air shift to the cold, crisp fall air as the
leaves turn bright oranges and reds before falling to the ground. As our days
get shorter and nights begin to get longer, I cling to the September sunshine
and waning summer warmth. I do admit though that I’m also ready to embrace new
layers, warm boots, and lots of coffee.

As we prepare and go through these transitions, I turn to the comfort
of the basics in my wardrobe. These basic pieces are the stability of the
seasonal changes and are must haves for any wardrobe. What are some of these
basics? Here are an essential three:

1.
The Jean Jacket: I would argue that a jean
jacket can survive any season- summer, fall, winter, and spring (you can layer
it in winter!). I stand behind the idea that a jean jacket is a staple in any
wardrobe – whether age or gender you are, anyone can rock a jean jacket.

2.
Black Skinny Jeans: Black jeans are so
versatile! You can wear them out or dress them up. You can even get away with
them in the office on Casual Friday.

3.
Basic White Tank: A BWT literally screams casual
and easy to wear. It’s just like having a basic white t-shirt, you can
literally pair it with anything, layer it, or just sport it as a standalone
piece.
