I literally just got home from the airport from a long weekend in Chicago. Here is a quick outfit recap of what I wore in the Windy City.
Look who I got to meet!!
Chicago is one of my favorite cities to visit. Besides eating incredible food, seeing my friends from PepsiCo, and spending the weekend with my boyfriend, I was so happy and excited to meet Kathryn from @mrsonthemove! She’s one of my favorite bloggers to follow especially because I’m slightly jealous she gets to live in this incredible city! Kathryn was an absolute doll to meet and I’m so glad we were able to grab coffee and have a mini photo shoot with Kyle Wesson.
Other trip highlights:
– Eating at Eataly’s: I wish we at least had one in the West Coast…
– Eating at Au Chevals: Seriously one of the best bacon/egg/burgers I’ve ever had. We lined up at 9:30am so when the restaurant opened at 10:00 am we could get seated. It’s worth the wait!
– Writing our names in chalk at Wrigley Field. If only the Mariners would at least make the playoffs next year…
– Shopping on the Magnificent Mile: I love this street. If I lived in Chicago, I’d be here every weekend
Outfit Advice for Exploring the (normally) Windy City: Chicago was surprisingly warm this weekend. I don’t know if its all the excitement and buzz that the Chicago Cubs finally broke their 108 year old curse and took home to World Series or if its just a touch of climate change, but you do not need to be heavily layered around the city. I pulled together an easy, but trendy casual look for exploring Chicago. I relied on my dependable American Eagle jacket to add some comfort but relief from the warm weather. I just grabbed this flowy black and white top from Nordstrom Rack before my trip and paired it with my black AEO jeggings. Lastly I finished the look with my favorite Dolce Vita booties to walk around the city.
Thank you for reading! Thank you again to Kathryn for meeting up and for Kyle to shoot our looks 🙂
Love,
Emma
Au Chevals was also on my list of must eats…but alas I was not able to make it there during my stay.
It was great to meet you!
