2016 has been a year of adventure. At the start of 2016, I
decided that this was going to be a year of adventure. And it was – I traveled to many places,
rotated through jobs, came into a new relationship, and found a new focus in
blogging with local events and incredible partnerships.
Here are my favorite adventures of 2016:
TRAVEL:
Thailand – I crossed off hanging out with elephants off my bucket list. I’m so thankful I was able to explore Bangkok with one of my best friends Liz!
Philippines – This was my first trip back to the Philippines in 10 years! Besides hanging out with family, I absolutely loved island hopping in the Philippines.
Hawaii – Girls Trip! This incredible group of girls and I have been going on annual trips together since junior year of college. In college, we would all go to College Weekend up in Whistler, Canada. This year we decided to go to Hawaii! We loved exploring the Makapu’u Tide pools.
Hawaii (again) – My cousin Elaine got married! During college, I would visit Hawaii at least once a year and see my cousin Elaine. She and her now husband Issac would always take me around the island. We’d go layout on the Waimea beach or somewhere in the Northshore, go to the shrimp trucks, and eat shave ice. I was so excited to go back again to Hawaii to celebrate their marriage!
New York – Half of my girlfriends have moved to New York so of course I had to pay them a visit in fall! I loved seeing all the different neighborhoods in New York.
Chicago – Brandon and I were able to visit Chicago the weekend after the Chicago Cubs won the World Series! It was so cool to see the city buzzing with energy and I loved how the fans wrote all over the baseball stadium with colorful chalk! Chicago is by far one of my favorite cities I’ve visited so far.
BLOGGING:
Meghan Trainor Concert – Thank you Tampax for inviting me to
such a fun concert! My sister and I had so much fun meeting Meghan. I’ve loved Meghan Trainor since she came out with All About that Bass. So when that song came on, I went crazy! We also we’re
soooo excited to meet Judy from It’s Judy Time. I’ve been watching Judy for
years now and I just about died when I met her.
Seattle Style Lab – This was my first Seattle Blogger Event in 2016. I really enjoyed the workshop the local bloggers put on and loved connecting with Northwest bloggers!
Incredible Brand Partnerships!: I’ve talked about this before, but I feel like 2016 was is the year I gained confidence in blogging – as a model, content creator, and creative. Here’s just a few of my favorite brand partnerships this year:
American Eagle Outfitters: I’m so thankful I was chosen as Back to School and a Holiday Style Ambassador!
Buki Brand: Check out the Buki’s Pop Up Shop near Pacific Place in Downtown Seattle!
Jojo Rings: Valentine’s Day
2016 was an eventful year – full of ups, downs, and adventures. I can’t wait to see what 2017 brings!
As always, thank you for reading!
Love,
Emma
