A Coffee Break
I spend a good portion of my life on the go. I’m running to work,
running to school, running to work out, and do homework, and eat, and etc. etc…
I love living a full, busy life, but through the years I’ve learned the
importance of taking a break. I’ve learned I have to take a break from the
responsibilities and pressures of everyday. Here are three reasons why I choose
to take a break at work, from blogging, and school:
1.
Taking a
break helps me clear my head: When I’m facing a difficult problem or
project at work, I’ve learned that I have to take a step back from any
frustrations. I’ve learned that I have to physically take a step back by either
working out, going on a walk, or changing the environment I’m working in.
2.
Gain
Perspective & New Ideas: Sitting in front of the computer all day is
not always the best place to draw inspiration from. When I come home to blog, I
sometimes already feel drained from
being in front of a computer all day. So I always make it an objective to work
out after work, go on a walk, or see friends to help me regain a new perspective and come up with new ideas for blogging. Hanging
out with my friends or being active in another activity allows me to experience
my dilemmas or ideas in a different light.
3.
Productivity
+ Refocus: I continue to take breaks at work, blogging, and studying
because they help me stay productive and allow me to refocus. When I carve out
time for myself to work out or see friends, I know I have to be productive in
the time I work so I can enjoy my break. Instead of allowing myself to be
distracted by my phone as I type up a homework assignment, I set a time limit
to take a break so I can be on my phone and time to focus on my assignment.
Taking a break feeds into my Health focus this year. Aside from eating
healthy and exercising, allowing myself time to relax, recharge, and refocus
will be a primary objective for me in 2017.
What are some ways you take a break from work, your passions, or your
responsibilities?

Love this post Emma! Your outfit is so cute!
This is great and definitely something good to keep in mind for the new year and not getting burned out! Also I adore your shoes.
All of these photos are so cute! I love the cozy sweater and those lace up shoes!
This is such a great post and your pics are incredible!
Reading is my go-to relaxation, also taking a nap is something I find really helps me, especially if I'm feeling anxious! Things always look better after that. PS. LOVE those shoes!
