Day 1 of New York Fashion Week
NYFW Look 1
New York Fashion Week has been on my bucket list for as a
long as I can remember. And I can’t believe that I’m living this dream right
now.
I was so stressed out about what to
wear this week… I literally packed and repacked 3 times. I ended up packing
one of my favorite sweaters this season and this nautical collared blouse and
realized that I could layer the two pieces. There’s still snow on the ground in
New York so it’s not practical to walk around with bare toes…so the We Are the Northwest project inspired me to help make
socks and sandals cool again. These thigh high socks not
only kept my toes warm, but they also worked as a nice layer underneath my jeans. Lastly, this moto jacket was a last
minute purchase (literally 8pm the night before I left) but has been well worth
it so far!
This look is a feminine winter to spring chic. I’m
taking my blush/pink tones easily into spring but I know we still have a few
more weeks of winter so I’ve got my socks and jacket on!
Aside from this look, I wanted to give a special shout out
to Ashley Jacklyn from @jacklyn.lune. We met two seasons ago as Style
Ambassadors for American Eagle Outfitters. I absolutely love it when your
instagram friends become your real friends.
She is an incredible photographer and I’m so happy we finally got to meet!

love your style!
making the cold look enjoyable! lol love your look and style
Pink has definitely been the color! I think it's perfect way to transition especially with the way you styled it with the scarf and leather jacket.
1.) Super jealous that you were at NYFW.
2.) I love that you wore socks with your heels!
Looks great! I love creative ideas for transitioning outfits into spring when the weather is still too cold to actually wear spring clothes.
Cute outfit! I hope you enjoyed your time at NYFW!
