Writing makes me feel empowered. At my core, I am a story
teller. I love hearing stories and I love sharing them. I thrive off connecting
with others both in person and on paper. Whether its poetry or essays, on my
blog or on social media, I love putting my thoughts to paper and screens. 

I love writing because it allows me to reflect, express my
emotions, and share my perspective. 

As a fashion blogger, I aim to relate to
the modern woman by helping her dress for the weekends, work week, and
occasions. 

As a business woman, I strive to relate to college students and
recent grads about my experiences so far in corporate America. 

As a first
generation Filipino-American, I work really hard to share my life perspectives
– my adversities, my culture, and lessons in embracing two cultures.

I confide in the ink and paper as it gives be the space to
write the words I may not have the courage to say out loud. Writing allows me
to unpack the pain of the past and the fears I’ve hidden away. 

Writing allows
me the space to reconcile my mistakes and regrets. Writing allows me to forgive
myself so I can move forward into the future.

Writing gives me freedom. I can be creative, I can be sad, I
can be honest, and I can be excited all at once. 

Writing allows me the sanctity to question myself; if who I
am is who I want to be. Writing gives me the ability to question my path, reevaluate my choices, and helps guide me into my next steps.

Writing gives me an identity, a voice, and a purpose to
connect with others.

I feel empowered when I write.
