Getting ready for a photo shoot? Need some ideas on how to pose in front of the camera?

Ready. Set. Pose!

Everyone has their own style and rhythm on how they pose and work in front of the camera. Some people are perfectly fine using the same one or two poses, while others never pose the same way twice. For me personally, I want to come to life in photos. I love giving a glimpse of my personality and telling a story through photos.

One way I begin my blog posts/photo series, is with the

classic blogger pose.

What is a classic blogger pose?

One pose you may have seen your favorite blogger do is a standing full body shot. He/she is either looking to your left, to your right, or straight on the camera. This pose is a staple for every fashion or lifestyle blogger.

As a blogger, I’ve probably taken hundreds, if not, a thousand photos
over my blogging career. The classic blogger pose I described is definitely is part of my posing portfolio. But personally, it has also inspired me to venture out and diversify my blog photos with more interesting poses and shots.

Aside from this classic pose, a few things I strive for in my photos  are the elements of movement, symmetry, and emotion.

Here are 12 blogger poses to try at your next photo shoot:

One of the easiest ways to bring movement to your photos is to walk. Here are three different walking poses you can try!

1. Walk Towards the Camera

Simply start away from the camera and walk towards it.

2. Walk By the Camera

Have your photographer walk parallel to you. You can make the even more interesting by looking directly at the camera.

3. Just Walk Away

This is the opposite of the walk towards the camera. Start in front of the camera and walk the opposite way.

One thing you may see in my photos is that I interact with the settings I’m in by simply leaning back.
