Are there any 90s babies out there? Are you guys ready to wear your favorite brands and trends from the 90s?
One of the reasons I love fashion is because it recycles over and over again. We loved flared jeans for a decade, transitioned to skinny jeans for the next decade, and then we’re gradually making our way back to cropped, flared jeans or just wide legged pants. I love embracing previous trends, like bell sleeves, and styling them to a modern day look.
One trend I’ve embraced in 2018 is the comeback of the 90s.
And one of the most prominent trends I’ve observed so far is the classic logo comeback. You’re probably seeing those vintage Tommy Hilfiger, FILA, or (if you can even get your hands on them) Gucci T-shirts. I first discovered this trend last summer in Europe. I was on a flight from London back to the United States when I picked up a fashion magazine that talked about the revival of logo t-shirts. At first, I questioned this trend. But after attending New York Fashion Week in September, I saw the comeback of logos in full force.
So this spring I was on the hunt for a vintage logo tee. I scoured the racks of Goodwill, sifted through Value Village, and finally found this cropped top at Crossroads Trading Co. on 45th. I literally jumped for joy when I found this as I returned the clothes I had tried on in the dressing room. So today I wanted to share how to style these 90s vintage tees/cropped shirts:
90s Fashion Revival: Logo Vintage Tees
1. How to Style: Mix it with another 90s/early 2000s trend: the Denim Mini Skirt
When I first got this denim mini skirt last spring for an AEO collaboration, I wasn’t sure how I felt about it… but I’m totally on board about the comeback of the denim mini skirt. I really feel like a 90s kid again with this logo tee and jean skirt – but I’ve styled it with pieces that bring into current fashion.
2. How to Style: Mix with other trends from other eras: like Kitten Heels!
Another trend I saw during New York Fashion Week and I’ve embraced this year are kitten heels. The kitten heel was most popular in the 1950s and is another trend experiencing a resurgence. Why not pair those classic logo t-shirts with kitten heels? It’s an unexpected flair and adding a pair of heels is a great way to dress up your t-shirt.
I also love kitten heels because they’re actually comfortable enough to walk around the city in! If you’ve ever been to downtown Seattle, you know the city is actually pretty hilly. Walking up a major hill is so much easier in 1 inch heels!
3. How to Style: Wear it with your plaid blazer from this fall season
I honestly love plaid blazers because you can wear them to work AND you can wear them on weekends. I’m all for making the most out of the pieces in our wardrobes. Plaid blazers were on fire this fall season so why not take them into the spring/summer months?
If you don’t want to buy a brand new plaid blazer, I highly recommend shopping second hand at Value Village, Goodwill, Buffalo Exchange, and Crossroads! Women tend to take care of their business wear and also only wear clothes for a season.

What are a few other 90s revival trends to look out for?
90s Fashion Revival: The Mom Jeans
[show_shopthepost_widget id=”3129751″]
I started wearing mom jeans last spring and I’ve honestly worn them year round! Mom jeans are typically high waisted and a relax fit. If you’re petite like me, I highly recommend trying on a pair of mom jeans before you purchase them. You want to make sure it hits your waist just right!
What to style mom jeans with: Style them with platform sandals, espadrilles, or heels to give you some length! Here’s how I styled my pair of mom jeans on Instagram.
90s Fashion Revival: Platform Sandals

Platform sandals were both popular in the 60s, 70s, and also the 90s. I’m seeing platforms everywhere and I’m such a fan! As a petite woman, I love a pair of comfortable shoes that instantly give me height!
What to style platform sandals with: your everyday spring and summer looks! Wear them with dresses, rompers, and even those mom jeans!
90s Fashion Revival: Fanny Packs
[show_shopthepost_widget id=”3129753″]
This was another trend I saw at full force this past September at New York Fashion Week. The most popular fanny packs I’ve seen by fashionistas are typically either Gucci or Supreme. I’m ready to see more brands embrace the fanny pack! I’d love to see fanny packs by Kate Spade, Zara, and H&M!
What to style fanny packs with: If you’re feeling bold, wear your fanny pack with a throwback logo tee or crewneck sweater! Fanny packs are also great for music festivals.
90s Fashion Revival: Clunky Dad Sneakers
[show_shopthepost_widget id=”3129754″]
Do you know what dad sneakers are? You know… those clunky white Reeboks or Nikes that your dad used to (or maybe still wears) wears. Well those are coming in hot this season and I predict they’ll be in full force by fall!
What to style clunky dad sneakers with: Style them with an everyday city look – so skinny or straight cropped jeans, maybe a blazer, and your favorite white tee! Or maybe even wear them with a simple maxi dress!
What are some of your favorite 90s trends? What are the trends you wish would stay in the 90s?
Thank you for reading!
