Can you believe the school year is around the corner?! I’ll be entering the last year of grad school and I’m soooo excited! I’m also excited to share with you that I’m partnering with Kohl’s for Back to School! I’ll be sharing some fashion inspiration and my favorite pieces from Kohl’s Juniors department this season! All my pieces are from either Mudd and SO.
Here are my favorite back to school pieces from Kohl’s:
The Swing Floral Dress
September is one of my favorite months for fashion because of the summer to fall transition. Early in September, Seattle gets plenty of sunshine and warm weather. A floral swing dress is the perfect choice for shopping for fresh fruits at the farmers market on the weekends and also to wear to class during the week. I love swing dresses for back to school because they’re so easy to throw on – especially when I’m running from work, to home (to pick up my fruits and snacks from the farmers market), and then to class.
The brand of this back to school swing floral dress is SO and I’m wearing a size small!
Back to School Advice: Take advantage of those end of summer sales and pick up a few swing dresses for the school year. You can wear them at the start of September, layer them up with tights, boots, and cardigans in winter, and then break them out again in spring!
The Utility Jacket
Every school back to school wardrobe needs a light weight utility jacket to kick off the school year! I especially love this jacket because of all the pockets. I can style this jacket with jeans and also layer it on top of a swing dress!
The brand of this utility jacket is Mudd and I’m wearing a size small!
The Polka Dotted Blouse
Polka dots are one of my favorite prints this season! I also predict that polka dots will be a popular print through the end of the year. I’m so glad I found a comfy, cotton polka dotted blouse to wear into class this year.
The brand of this polka dotted blouse is SO and I’m wearing a size small!
The Skinny Jeans
I love a classic pair of skinny jeans! I tend to gravitate towards darker washes so I wanted to change it up this fall season with a light wash pair of skinny jeans. One thing I look for in a pair of skinny jeans their stretch! I prefer skinny jeans with more stretch because I’m typically on the go and also sitting in class for 4 hours at a time. The more stretch a skinny jean has, the more comfortable I am wearing jeans for an extended amount of time!
The brand of this pair of skinny jeans is SO and I’m wearing a size 1 (waist 25)!
The Cold Shouldered Blouse
It’s no secret that I love any blouse that exposes your shoulders! I love cold shouldered and off the shoulder blouses. I was so excited when I found this blouse at Kohl’s because I love the eyelet inspired details.
The brand of this cold shouldered blouse is SO and I’m wearing a size small!
There you have it friends! My favorite pieces from Kohl’s for this Back to School Season.

All the tips are valuable for me, I have learned a lot on it.
Thanks for the excellent photography tips, looking for more tips if you can share.
I have been out of school for awhile now but remember the excitement of back to school shopping! My son does start preschool in 3 weeks so we are off to check out the outlets near us for some cute stuff for him! I love your picks as they are all very easy to wear and perfect for those hour or two long lectures. Happy Friday Emma and wishing you a fantastic weekend!
