Even though the first official day of winter is a few weeks away, it definitely feels like winter in the Northwest. With temperatures dipping into the 30s, I’m embracing my over the knee boots and all the cute winter jackets. I’d also wear this outfit to brunch or on a shopping trip with my sister.

Winter Style Tip: You can always tie an elastic band to your sweater if you want a tighter fit to highlight your waist. I took one of my hair ties to create a synch waist.

There’s nothing like a cozy festive sweater for the Holiday season. I’ve recently become obsessed with Fair Isle printed sweaters because of their fun colors and prints. The Fair Isle print became popular in the 1920s and 1930s and I predict this print will become trendy again this winter season. Pair your favorite Fair Isle sweater with skinny jeans and black boots OR with your favorite pair of mom jeans, grey hat, and blanket scarf!

I don’t know what it is about this winter season but I’m venturing more out of my style. I wouldn’t have worn this Sherpa lined jacket last year but I took this jacket with me to Pittsburgh and absolutely loved it. It was a great travel jacket for the airport and exploring the city. I wore this Sherpa lined jacket both on the airplane and exploring Market Square in Pittsburgh!

I swear I had a puffy jacket like this in elementary school… so when I started seeing puffer jackets at New York Fashion Week earlier this year, I was surprised – but I really shouldn’t have been because fashion cycles over and over again. This trend has made its way through the runway shows and already at major retailers.
