Wait what?! Valentine’s Day is only 2 days away! Don’t worry
you still have time to pull something together before Valentine’s Day on
February 14th. If you and your significant other are looking for
easy, budget friendly ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day, this blog post is for
you! I’ll be sharing a few ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day at home and around
Seattle!
Here are 7 last minute ideas to celebrate Valentine’s Day:

Celebrate Valentine’s Day #1: Relive one of your first dates
Where was you and your significant other’s first date? Was
it over dinner and dessert? Did you grab a drink at a local bar? Why not relive
one of your first dates this Valentine’s Day? It’s so much fun to exchange
memories of your first impressions of one another and share why you decided to
go on a second, third, or fourth date with them.
Celebrate Valentine’s Day #2: Go out for dessert
If you want to avoid the dinner crowds, you can always just go out for dessert! Whether you love donuts or ice cream, there’s so many great dessert places in Seattle. If you need dessert recommendations, you can check out Seattle’s Most Instagrammable Dessert Places.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day #3: Exchange Valentine’s Day Cards
Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be all about the presents,
desserts, and food. If you and your significant other want to do something
sweet and meaningful, you could exchange Valentine’s Day cards. I personally
love shopping for cards (for every holiday) so I always look forward to finding
a card to give to Brandon.
Celebrate Valentine’s Day #4: Have a at home spa night
Have you and your significant other ever had an at home spa
night? Here’s what you’ll need for your Valentine’s Day Spa night:
- Candles
- Roses/rose petals if you’re feeling fancy
- Face masks (you can get them at Target for $2.50 each)
- A bath bomb
- Wine (because wine not?)

Celebrate Valentine’s Day #5: Have a movie night
Whether you and your partner love thrillers or chick flicks,
there’s so many movies out there to celebrate Valentine’s Day. I personally love
romantic comedies. My personal favorite rom-com movies I would recommend for Valentine’s
Day would be:
- Bridesmaids
- 10 Things I Hate About You
- The Proposal
- The Big Sick
What are some of your favorite romantic comedies?
Celebrate Valentine’s Day #6: Make dinner at home
I’m not the best chef out there but I love cooking with
Brandon. It’s fun to follow a recipe together and create something we both can
eat and enjoy. Here are a few places to find Valentine’s Day dinner recipes:

Easy Date Night Dinners from Delish – The recipes that looks the most
appetizing to me are the Caprese
Steak and the Cream
Spinach Chicken!
51
Romantic Valentine’s Day Dinners from Country Living – I love pasta and
Brandon loves seafood so we might have to make this Creamy
Parmesan Linguine with Shrimp!
My recommendation would be to pick a recipe out today so you can run to the store tomorrow to pick up the ingredients!

Celebrate Valentine’s Day #7: Find the 7
Instagrammable Valentine’s Day Spots in Seattle
If you love taking photos like me, you’ll probably snap a
photo or two of you and your valentine on February 14th. Why not
explore the city and take a photo in front of a heart mural or a wall of
flowers? Pike Place Market has two heart murals and Bellevue also has a massive
heart mural. These heart walls would be a perfect backdrop for you and your
valentine to take photo in front of!
