Are you looking for ways to pose with flowers or new poses for Instagram? If so, this blog post is for you!

The birds are singing, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, and the sunshine feels amazing. Whether you love farmers’ market flowers or the daffodil fields up north, fresh flowers aren’t hard to find. The Northwest is literally blossoming right now.
I personally have always loved flowers. And over the last few years of blogging, flowers have been a go to prop to include in my photos. This spring season, I was inspired to create and share 6 ways to pose with flowers!
How to Pose with Flowers #1: Cover your eye with one flower

I first shared this tip in 8 Ways to to Pose with Food blog post. Well if you switch out your macaron or cookie with a flower, this pose also works! This pose feels a little silly at first but the photo always turns out so cute!
Posing Tips:
I’ve had a few friends reach out and say they tried the pose but it didn’t out very well. I recommend practicing this pose in the mirror. And also make sure that the flower isn’t too big or too small.

How to Pose with Flowers #2: Lay on the ground and place flower buds in your hair

I recommend finding a field of grass and buying a Trader
Joe’s bouquet of flowers to recreate this shot. Holly ended up taking the
bouquet apart and placing these small flowers in my hair! This was one of the
more creative ways to pose with flowers.
Posing Tips:
It’s pretty much impossible to place the flowers in your own hair so have your friend or photographer place the flowers!

Flower Posing Ideas #3: Place the flowers on your shoulder

Whether you love sunflowers or a colorful bouquet, a great way to show off the flowers is to place them on your shoulder. I thought this was a unique way to show off the flowers and your outfit in the shot.

How to Pose with Flowers #4: Bring the flowers close to the camera

I first featured this pose last summer in the Instagram Story Questions & Answers Round Up blog post. If you’re looking to show off your bouquet for a wedding party or senior photos, this is a great pose. You can either have the flowers be the focus and you blurred out in the back. Or you can be the focus and the flowers are blurred in the front of the photo.

Flower Posing Ideas#5: Pretend to smell the flowers

The “smell the flowers” pose is a classic way to pose with flowers. You can either bring the whole bouquet or a single stem of flowers up to your nose. This can be a fun playful pose for senior photos or for blog photo shoots.

How to Pose with Flowers #6: Put the flower behind your ear

If you’re out in spring break somewhere tropical or if you’re posing for senior photos, tucking a flower behind your ear is a great pose. This is also an easy way to pose with flowers!

There you have it friends – 6 different ways to pose with your favorite flowers!

I love flowers too and saw beautiful blooms this weekend that just lifted my spirit. These are great tips and I will try practicing the one over the eye as I find that the most difficult. I think I concentrate too much on how the flower looks as opposed to just letting it look natural. I want to try the smell the flower pose as well, let’s see how I fare on this one! Lastly, your dress just too pretty for words! It looks amazing on you and love how the dress moves with you.
