If you’re looking for the best photo locations of New Orleans, this blog post is for you! I’m sharing 12 most instagrammable places in New Orleans.

Have you ever been to NOLA before?
It’s a beautiful city in Louisiana. Founded in 1718, La Nouvelle-Orleans was claimed by the French crown. Then in 1763, the French colony became a Spanish outpost after the Treaty of Paris. New Orleans reverted back to French rule after 37 years but the French and Spanish influences can still be seen within the city today. You can read more about the history of New Orleans here.
Aside from the beautiful architecture and colorful European
buildings, you might come to New Orleans for Mardi Gars, the Jazz scene, or
even the fried oysters and gumbo. Whatever brings you to the city, you’ll be
welcomed with Southern hospitality.
Personally, New Orleans has been on my bucket list for the
last few years. I was drawn to the city by its colorful streets and have heard
the beignets were delicious. And in my quest to find the Most Instagrammable
Places in every city, I knew I needed to make a trip to NOLA this year.
Here are 12 Most Instagrammable Places in New Orleans:
1. Brennan’s
Address: 417 Royal Street New Orleans, LA 70130

Located in the heart of the French Quarter, Brennan’s is maybe one of the most photographed pink buildings on Instagram for NOLA. Brennan’s originally opened in 1946 and offer Cajun/Creole food. We personally didn’t get eat inside the restaurant but we did learn that gentleman aren’t allowed to wear tank tops, athletic shorts, or cut offs.

2. The Vintage
Address: 3121 Magazine Street New Orleans LA 70115

If you’re in the Garden District and you’re in the mood for breakfast, coffee, or beignets, you have to stop by the Vintage. They converted a piano (that still works!) into a large ottoman and they have a fun button you can “push for more champagne”.

3. Compere Lapin – Old 77 Hotel Restaurant
Address: 535 Tchoupitoulas New Orleans LA 70130

During our stay and hotel collaboration with Old 77 Hotel,
we stopped by Compere
Lapin for lunch. The menu is inspired by Caribbean roots and the food is
delicious! I had the burger, salad, and iced tea for lunch. And if I lived in
NOLA, I would definitely come back.
Compere Lapin was busy Saturday night. As we walked out of the hotel lobby on Saturday evening, we saw groups of people waiting to be seated or find a spot at the bar!

4. Auction House Market (Bathroom)
Address: 801 Magazine Street New Orleans Louisiana 70130

Our first stop in NOLA was Auction House Market. This is a
food hall with lofts located on the upper levels of the building. We were drawn
to this place after seeing the women’s bathroom on Instagram!
What I ate at Auction House:
For dinner, we grabbed Thai food from Long Chim. I ordered the Yum Woon Sen Noodle AKA the Unicorn Noodle with shrimp. I don’t do well with a ton of spice but this noodle dish had the perfect amount of spice. I also grabbed a strawberry milkshake from Mac Moon.

5. Jackson Square
Address: 701 Decatur Street New Orleans Louisiana 70116

One of the most prominent landmarks in the French Quarter is
Jackson Square. It’s a national historic landmark where the St. Louis Cathedral
sits. Jackson Square is right across thr street from Café du Monde and the
Mississippi river.
You’ll find artist displaying their art on the street, tourists taking photos, and a mix of shops and restaurants at Jackson Square. It belongs on the most instagrammable places in New Orleans list because the St. Louis Cathedral looks like belongs in a Disney movie or on the streets of Europe.

6. Commander’s Palace
Address: 1403 Washington Avenue New Orleans Louisiana 70130

Founded in 1880, Commander’s Palace is located in New Orleans
Garden District. It’s recommended that you place a reservation ahead of time. The
dress code also calls for business attire – so jeans are discouraged and closed
toe shoes are required.
Personally, we came to Commander’s Palace because of the bright teal and white building.

7. Greetings from NOLA
Address: 2014 Magazine St, New Orleans, LA 70130
This fun mural needed its spot on Most Instagrammable Places in New Orleans round up!

8. Rainbow Payphone
Address: 300 Cana Street New Orleans Louisiana 70130

Across the street from the Double Treet by Hilton Hotel is the rainbow payphone. Karya and I suspect that they decorate this payphone seasonally. I’m assuming it’s painted rainbow to celebrate pride month! If you look back on Instgram, this old payphone has been different colors and bejeweled before.

9. Flamingo A Go-Go
Address: 869 Magazine Street New Orleans Louisiana 70130

If you’re to flamingle, you have to stop by Flamingo A-Go-Go
in New Orleans’s Warehouse District. We personally didn’t stop here for a boozy
brunch or day party, but we did stop here to take a few Instagram photos.
When I first discovered the colorful storefront on Instagram, I knew we had to stop by Flamingo A Go-Go and include them in the Most Instagrammable Places in New Orleans round up. The flamingo mural and colorful beams make a great photo back drop. And as we snapped photos, we saw people coming in for brunch. It looked like such a fun spot!

10. Catahoula Hotel Outdoor Bar Area/Courtyard
Address: 914 Union Street New Orleans
Louisiana 70112
Located in the Central Business District, the Catahoula Hotel has an amazing outdoor courtyard in the heart of downtown.

12. The French Quarter
Address: Cross street of Royal Street and St. Peter Street

The French Quarter is one of my favorite places I’ve ever been in the United States. I felt like I was back in Europe on these streets. Whether you’re looking for a drink on Bourbon Street or wanting to see local art and museums, the French Quarter has something for you.
12. Café Beignet
Address: 334 Royal Street New Orleans Louisiana 70130

Café Beignet in the French Quarter had the most adorable
storefront! You can sit inside or find a spot in the outdoor courtyard. Beignets
are a staple in Louisiana
