Are you looking for photo prop ideas for your next fashion or blog photo shoot? Here are 10 easy things you can use as photography props.

As a fashion and lifestyle blogger, I’m always posing and creating photos. I love scouting out for new photo locations and looking for fun photo props to use. I’m so glad that @varshadiaries recently asked me on Instagram stories:
“What are the best photo props to use?”
I personally love incorporating props in my photos so I was excited to share this blog post. Whether you’re looking for photography props for adults or props for a fashion photo shoot, this blog post is for you!

Here are 10 easy photo prop ideas for your next photo shoot:
Prop #1: Vintage Board Games or Card Games

If you’re looking for an inexpensive photography prop, you can find vintage board and card games at Value Village or local thrift store. People are always turning over and donating board games. I bought this game of Uno for 99 centers and the Scrabble board for $2.99!

Prop #2: Flowers

It’s no secret that I love flowers. Flowers are a great way to add some color to your photos! For flower posing ideas you can check out:

Prop #3: Cameras

Posing with a Polaroid camera is always fun! Brandon gifted
me this Fujifilm Instax for Christmas one year and I love using it for both
photo shoots and for trips.
If you don’t have a camera to pose with, you can always find
old vintage cameras at thrift stores or secondhand stores like Value Village.
Prop #4: Picnic Basket

During the spring and summer season, I love brining in a picnic basket for photo shoots. There are so many baskets at secondhand stores. They’re a super affordable photography prop to style for a photo shoot.
I bought this picnic basket for under $5 for a Barefoot Wine collaboration earlier this season. I added a mini meat and cheese plate, oranges, and a giant jenga set for a mini roof top hang out!

Prop #5: Bags

If you’re a style or fashion blogger, you’re probably already wearing a bag to your photo shoot. Use your bag as a prop! I personally love swinging my bag towards the camera to add some movement to the photo.

Prop #6: Food

If I wasn’t a fashion/lifestyle blogger, I would be a food
blogger. I love to eat and I love desserts! Food makes a great prop for photos.

Prop #7: Books
Whether you’re strolling through the library or hanging out in a hotel lounge, posing with a book is an easy way to incorporate a photography prop. Books are also great to pick up secondhand!

Prop #8: Balloons

I LOVE bringing in balloons to photos – especially for special events! Maddy and I posed for photos for Valentine’s Day. And I’ve posed with photos for my birthday and when I hit 20,000 followers on Instagram last year!
Check out Confete Party Box if you’re looking for balloons for your next photo shoot or event!
Prop #9: Bubbles
Bubbles are also an inexpensive photo prop idea. Giulia picked up our bubbles at Target for $1! I love how the bubbles look with the Golden Gate Bridge.

Prop #10: Water Guns
I was looking for summer inspired types of photography props when I stumbled upon water guns at Value Village. Water guns always bring back such fun childhood summer memories!
