Are you looking for the best photo spots in SOHO NYC? Here are 7 locations to feature on your next Instagram post.

History of New
York’s City SoHo Neighborhood
Located from
South of Houston Street to Canal Street, SoHo is a historic neighborhood in
Manhattan. In 1963, the neighborhood was identified as “SoHo” by a city planner
named Chester Rapkin. The area attracted artists like Andy Warhol and David
Bowie. According to USA Today,
there were over 2,000 working artists in the early 1970s in SoHo.
Today, SoHo houses luxury department stores, art galleries, designer showrooms, and so much more. There are also Instagram worthy places all over SoHo.
Here are 7 Instagram Worthy Places in SoHo:
1. Laduree Paris
Address: 398 W Broadway

If you’re looking
for a lunch spot or an adorable dessert spot, you have to stop by Laduree
Paris. Laduree has a rich history that dates back to 1862. The Laduree family
opened a Parisian café and a pastry shop which became one of the first tea
rooms in Paris.
In 2011, Laduree
stateside boutique and tea salon opened on Madison Avenue in New York. The
restaurant and garden opened in SoHo shortly afterwards.
We stopped by during New York Fashion Week and ate lunch inside. Maddy and I took photos both inside the restaurant, the garden outside, and in the front of the store.

2. Streets of SOHO
The cast iron buildings in SoHo are iconic. If you love the classic white buildings, make sure you stroll through Green Street and Wooster Street.

Here are a few
tips on getting photos in the streets of SoHo:
- I recommend shooting earlier in the morning. Maddy and I started walking around 8:00am to shoot on the street before brunch at 10:00am. We were surprised how empty the streets were at this time. We didn’t have any crowds or cars to battle with.
- Grab a shot in the middle of the street – if you end up shooting early, you should be able to capture this shot.

3. The Marc Jacobs Pink Building
Address: 59 Greene St New York NY 10012

If you’re looking
for a hot pink building, you should definitely stop by the Marc Jacob’s
building in SoHo. There are three Marc Jacob stores that pop up on Google Maps
so make sure you go to the one Green Street.
Maddy and I stopped by the pink store after we had brunch at Jack Wife’s Freda. We were there around 10:30-11am and we didn’t run into any crowds.

4. Flour Shop
Address: 177 Lafayette St, New York, NY 10013

My friend Karya recommended we
stop by the Flour Shop. She found this rainbow mural while visiting New York
last year. So this past September, I was determined to stop by the rainbow
mural.
We grabbed chocolate cake pops and iced coffee while visiting the store. The family next to us grabbed the rainbow cake and it looked delicious! Whether you grab a cake or a cake pop, I recommend you pick up something sweet. All of the desserts looked amazing!

A Fire Escape
5. Address: At our Airbnb

When I found an
Airbnb in SoHo with a fire escape, I knew I needed to book it. I’ve been dying
to take photos on a fire escape so I was so excited when I found out we could
walk onto it.
If you get a chance to take photos on a New York building fire escape, take advantage of it!

6. Taste Koku
Address: 226 Lafayette St, New York, NY 10012

We were on the way to Jack’s Wife Freda and we passed Taste Koku. Even though we didn’t get to stop by the plant based ice cream shop, we did get to capture a few photos in front of the store. This store front is so cute!

7. NoMo SoHo
Address: NoMo SoHo 9 Crosby Street, New York, NY 10012

Originally featured in my 10 Most Instagrammable Places in NYC to see, NoMo SoHo is definitely one of the top Instagram spots in the neighborhood.
