Are you looking for easy poses for pictures? If so, this blog post is for you! I’m sharing 8 easy poses for Instagram, your blog, or next photo shoot occasion!

As a fashion/lifestyle blogger, I’m taking tons of photos on a weekly basis. I’m usually shooting at least once a week on the weekends. I started taking photos in college in 2014 with my friend/photographer Holly.
I had no idea what I was doing at first but over time I learned how to get comfortable in front of a camera. I learned how to pose for photos, how to add movement to the shot, and how to work with the environment I was shooting in.
Today I wanted to share a few easy poses for pictures that
you can use for your Instagram, blog, senior pictures, or other photo shoot
occasions.
Here are 8 Easy Poses for Pictures:
1. Walking towards the camera

If you’re wanting to add subtle movement to your photos, I
would recommend walking towards the camera. Take your time walking so your
photographer has the opportunity to take several shots.
You can look towards the camera or out towards the distance to add variety in your shots.

2. Looking back at the camera

Another easy pose for Instagram, tumblr, or your blog is to
look back at the camera. It probably most feels natural walking away from the
camera and then turning your head to look back at the camera.
If you’re wearing a dress or a top with a cool back design, this is a great pose to mix into your photo shoot!

3. Tucking your hair behind your ear

Whether you’re taking a portrait shot or a full outfit shot, tucking your hair behind your ear is an easy pose to mix in. This pose will give you something to do with your hand and it also feels really natural.

4. Leaning against or over the railing

If you’re talking photos outside and there’s a railing, try to lean against or over the railing. This railing is right outside the Seattle Library. I thought leaning over it would be a different way to capture a photo at the library.

5. Kicking your leg up

Another easy pose with movement is to kick your leg up towards the camera. If you scroll through my Instagram feed, you’ll find this pose again and again!

6. Leaning against the wall

Whether you’re shooting outside or inside, you can try leaning against a wall. This is another easy pose for beginners. It helps you engage with the environment you’re taking photos in and it isn’t too hard to do.

7. Sitting on a ledge

If you’re looking for a pose to show off your shoes, sit on a ledge. My friend Maddy and I found this pink building and ledge in Scottsdale, Arizona. I thought it was the perfect ledge to show off my favorite white heels!

8. Sitting on the ground

If you’ve taken a variety of standing poses, try sitting on the ground to mix it up. You can sit on curb, sit criss cross, or sit with one leg extended and one leg bent. You can also throw your peace sign up!
