With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, Maddy and I
have been taken tons of Valentine’s Day inspired photos. We’ve been looking for
pink buildings and stocking up on easy photo shoot props. We’re always looking
to create fun photos so I was inspired to compile a list of Valentine’s Day
posing ideas and photo shoot props that Maddy and I have done this year and
last year!

1. Send your Valentine’s Day cards & your Valentine’s Day Box

Do you remember making Valentine’s Day boxes in elementary
school? I still remember decorating my Valentine’s Day box and being so excited
for the Valentine’s Day card exchange. I was so excited to find this pink
Valentine’s Day box and envelope at Target.

Maddy shared this LOVE location on her blog post: Seattle Spots – Valentine’s Day Photo Locations. We visited this spot in Pacific Place this past weekend. And I thought it would be cute to sit in front of the sign with my V-day mail box and envelope!

Also shout out to Suitably for the 24/7 Blazer! I love being able to wear a black blazer on the weekends and during the work week.

2. Hold roses or flowers

When I think of Valentine’s Day, I always think of roses or flowers. Maddy and I posed with flowers last year next to the heart wall. And this year, I also brought flowers to pose with in front of the LOVE sign.

3. Blow bubbles

I first mentioned this pose in my How
to Pose with Friends blog post. Blowing bubbles also works for a Valentine’s
Day pose.

I recommend alternating blowing bubbles with your friend! You can also photo shop more bubbles in to fill the frame.

4. Cheers with rose

A few weekends ago, Maddy and I went over to the W Seattle for a girl’s weekend. We brought rose both to drink and pose with for photos!

5. Play Tic-Tac-Toe with lipstick

If you’re looking to take a fun mirror picture, use lipstick to draw out tic-tac-toe on your bathroom mirror! Maddy and I added other props like streamers and hearts to fill out the bathroom.

6. Bring in balloons

Balloons are always a fun prop to use for photos. Last year Maddy brought these giant X-O balloons and pink and white balloons to our first photo shoot together. We had so much fun posing with the balloons.

7. Pucker up

Karya and I visited New Orleans this past summer and we stopped by the Auction House Market. The bathroom inside is SO CUTE! I thought it would be fun to do a kissy face pose to match the lips wallpaper.

8. Have a mimosa in bed
