My “new normal” revolves around my apartment.
I’m creating indoor photo shoots instead of meeting with photographer and blogger friends. I’m cooking more and trying out new recipes instead of going out to eat around the city. My day job has turned into a work from home job which means I’ve traded my two screens, ergo chair, and cube to my new work spot: the kitchen counter. And my podcast co-host and I have transitioned our podcast recordings to also be from home (a.k.a. I’m recording on my bed). Even though my new schedule has been an adjustment, one thing that’s remained constant is my hair washing routine.
My “new normal” still feels somewhat busy so I’m still washing my hair 3 times a week and using dry shampoo and conditioner during my non-wash days! I’m still curling and styling my hair – even though it’s just Brandon and Boone (our 3-year-old Norwegian Elkhound) who see me on a daily basis.
Personally, I use dry shampoo because it makes styling my hair so much easier. Dry shampoo saves me so much time since I don’t have to go through the cycle of washing, blow drying, and then curling. Since I have thick hair, it can take me up to 45 min to fully blow dry my hair! I also love to use dry shampoo I’ve found that my curls hold better on day 2 of my non-wash/dry shampoo days. I actually see more volume and texture when I use dry shampoo and conditioner.
This spring I started using Waterl<ss dry shampoo, conditioner, and heat shield. If you haven’t heard of Waterl<ss before, Waterl<ss was founded in Cape Town, South Africa. 1.The Waterl<ss Dry Shampoo Foam leaves no residue!
I have black/super dark brown hair and my biggest complaint when it came to dry shampoo was the residue left. The foam leaves no trace on my roots and hair.
2. The Waterl<ss Dry Conditioner smells so good!
While I do want my hair products to work well with my hair, I also want them to smell good. It’s a treat to put this in my hair.
3. The Waterl<ss products have helped me save time on my hair routine.
Even though I’m working from home, I have days where I still feel just as a busy before the Stay at Home Order. Being able to keep my hair healthy and clean with Waterl<ss has allowed me to still balance everything still going on with my blog and full-time job!
