Are you planning to go apple picking or a photo shoot at an apple orchard soon? Here are a few apple picking photo shoot ideas you can use.

I went apple picking for the very first time this fall. Maddy and I ventured up to Bellewood Farms in Lynden, WA. Even though their pumpkin patch was closed, we were super excited to go apple picking and shoot some fall content.
We went the first weekend they opened so it was pretty busy. We wore our masks and we waited in line 15-20 min before we were allowed to purchase tickets to enter the apple orchard. Maddy and I walked past the corn maze and to the apple orchard. We found a row all to ourselves and away from other visitors, so we were able to pick apples and take photos.
FYI – I recommend visiting the Bellewood Farms on a weekday if your schedule allows for it. They’re open every Wednesday-Sunday but I also recommend checking their website before you go – just in case there’s changes.
Here are 6 apple picking photo ideas you can use next time you visit an apple orchard:

# 1 Cover one eye with an apple
The “cover one eye” pose is my go to pose – especially if there’s food involved. I first shared this pose in 8 Ways to Pose with Food for Your Instagram. It’s an easy pose to do!
To frame the shot, I also held the bucket of apples. It was a cute way to incorporate more apples in the photo.
#2 Stack the apples

Another fun pose to try apple picking is to stack the apples. I tried stacking three apples, but it didn’t work for me. So I went for two apples and the photo still turned out cute.

#3 Toss the apple in the air
If you’re looking to add some motion in your shot, I recommend tossing the apple into the air. This is an easy way to create a more interesting shot.

#4 Hold a pail of apples
Another easy way to pose apple picking is to hold the pail of apples. Since we had the row to ourselves, I stood in the middle of the row of trees and held the pail of apples.

#5 Sit down near the trees
I would definitely check to see if the ground is wet before you take a seat! It had rained the day before, so the grass was a little damp. But sitting down with the trees is an easy apple picking pose to recreate.

#6 Walk through the row of apples
If you want to add a little motion or natural movement in your shot, don’t be afraid to walk towards the camera!

There you have it friends! A few apple picking photo shoot ideas to try next time you go apple picking!
