As a local Seattle blogger, I’m always looking for unique places to capture photos inside and outside of Seattle. I love exploring local cities around the Pacific Northwest. I was so excited when @iamcreativespace reached and invited me to take photos in her beautiful studio place. She had recently expanded her studio to a second floor and invited me and my friend Maddy to explore and take photos in the photography studio.

Here are a few important things to know about this Tacoma photography studio:

There are two major spaces separated on two floors to shoot in.

There is the Sunshine Room and the Cozy Place. The Sunshine Room has a light, airy, and warm feel. There are 4 different photography zones featuring a beautiful flower swing, a boho kids play area, a door framed with (fake) flowers and vines, as well as a corner with a wooden wall with different texture fabrics. There is also a chair with hanging (fake) flowers.

The Cozy Place has 5 photography zones. There is a dreamy corner with string lights, tulle, and mirrors. There’s also a bed, a white egg swing, a painted wall mural, and a loveseat couch. The Cozy Place feels more moody, intimate, and a little darker than the Sunshine Room.

It’s available to rent on an hourly basis – you can rent both rooms at the same time or rent one room separately.

To book a time at the photography studio – I recommend checking their Instagram page to check the most updated, preferred way to book a time online. Right now, they’ve stated to send them a message with your requested time/date. The owner will get back to you if that time/date is available! The owner has also shared that you must pay the price of the reservation ahead of your visit.

There are 5 free parking spaces in front of the building

We brought a ton of outfits with us, so having a short walk from the car to the door was convenient.

The studio is deep cleaned twice a week

All surfaces are sanitized after each booking and all clothes and props are washed. I recommend checking out their website if you’re interested in what else is cleaned.

There are bathrooms on each floor

Both the Cozy Place and the Sunshine Room have bathrooms to use and change in.

There are slippers and shoe covers offered at the door

In an effort to keep the floors clean, the owner asked us to remove our shoes until we took photos in them. Since we all came in with socks, we just left our shoes at the door. I personally changed into heels when I was shooting but removed them when I was walked around the studio space.
