This blog post was made in collaboration with Microsoft Edge and all my opinions are my own.

Can you believe summer is just around the corner? I’m excited for longer, sunnier days and for summer fashion! With summer just a few weeks away, I’m excited to share summer trends to add to your wardrobe. Plus, I’m partnering with Microsoft Edge to also share how you can save money on your summer wardrobe.

Before we dive into how you can save money on your summer wardrobe, here are four summer trends to watch out for:

Summer trend #1: Groovy Prints

One summer trend I’m most excited for is the rise of groovy, psychedelic prints. Think about the 70s, think about vibrant, graphic florals and marble swirls. Whether you feel bold enough to wear a matching top and pant outfit, or you’re feeling fun and flirty in a halter top bold, floral print dress, there’s so many ways to incorporate groovy prints into your wardrobe.

Summer trend #2: The late 90s/early 2000s

One thing I’ve noticed with Gen-Zs is their love for Y2K fashion. If you’re looking to incorporate elements of late 90s/early 2000s fashion, look into baby tees (cropped shirts above your belly button), tube tops, pleated skirts, and baguette bags. I’ve been seeing baguette bags in both metallic and matte colors like black, white, and pink.

Other fun elements of Y2K fashion also include bandanas (I used to wear bandanas as a kid), front tie tops which you can style with a bralette or t-shirt, and classic white sneakers.

Summer trend #3: Cut out dresses

The 2021 cut out trend is one I’ve personally worn. Some cut out dresses have key holes on the sides of the bodice while some cut out tops have cut outs on the neckline. You can try this trend with cut out back dresses or even cut out skirts – if you’re feeling bold!

Summer trend #4: Strong shoulders

One trend that’s crept into my summer wardrobe is the sleeveless strong shoulder shirt. This 80s trend caught my attention recently and I ended up buying this trend in two colors: blush pink and nude. I can’t remember if I’ve ever worn a padded shoulder top, but this simple, sleeveless shirt goes with both jeans, skirts, and shorts.

Now that we’ve talked about summer trends to watch out for, here are 4 ways to save money on your summer wardrobe with Microsoft Edge:

1.Organize your wish list with Collections in Edge

If there are trends and specific pieces you’re looking to add to your summer wardrobe, I highly recommend saving those items to your Collections. Creating a Collection is super easy.

  1. Look at the top right-hand corner of your Edge page.
  2. Click on the plus sign next to your image.
  3. Click on “Start new collection”.
  4. You can add to your collection by clicking on “Add Current Page”

The Collections in Edge feature is especially helpful in saving the items you want to potentially buy later. It’s so much easier to save these items in a Collection verses keeping your web browser up with millions of tabs!

Here are a few things you might be shopping for this summer where Collections could be helpful:

  • A wedding guest dress – I always look at multiple websites, brands, and boutiques before I make a decision on which wedding guest dress to purchase. Make a wedding guest dress collection so you can put your favorite dresses in one place!
  • Your mini-moon/honeymoon wardrobe – I’m preparing for my wedding and mini-moon in a few weeks. I’ve needed to shop for a Couples Wedding Shower dress, a rehearsal dress, as well as outfits I’m going to wear on our mini-moon.
  • Jeans – If you’re looking to add new styles of jeans, it’s helpful to put them in one Collection. Skinny jeans are starting to rotate their way out and straight jeans, 90s jeans, mom jeans, and baggy jeans are starting to make their way back into popularity.

2. You can save money by comparing prices from other retailers

If you’re building your jeans Collection on Microsoft Edge, you can also compare prices with other retailers. Microsoft Edge saves you time by checking prices at competing retailers and giving you a list of prices. You’ll be able to see if there’s a more competitive price elsewhere.

For example, if you’re looking to add Levi’s jeans. You can look at Levis.com and then Microsoft Edge will show you how much you could find the same pair of jeans on Poshmark, Nordstrom, and Bloomingdales.

3. You can save time and money with coupons

Did you know Microsoft Edge has built in coupons? There are over 1,000 online retailers with coupons available on Microsoft Edge. If there’s a coupon available from the website, Microsoft Edge with alert you. You can copy and paste the code in or look to see if Edge determined which coupon saves you the most money!

For example, if you’re looking for Y2K fashion and you head to Asos.com, you’ll find the coupon codes you can use to get a discount.

4. You can get cashback/rebates with Microsoft Edge

From Microsoft to Vista Print, to Walmart, Edge allows you get to cashback just by using Microsoft Edge. I recommend filtering by categories like Apparel, Shoes, and Health and Beauty. You might find that you can get a rebate between 1%-15% by just using Microsoft Edge.

5. Set a budget for your summer wardrobe

If you’re looking to add a few trends or staple pieces to your summer wardrobe, I highly recommend picking a budget. It can be super easy to find all these groovy dresses or Y2K inspired tops and skirts and add them straight to your cart. I recommend setting a budget and then adding those items to Collections to determine which pieces you really want to wear and style.

Adding a seasonal budget for your wardrobe is great practice in general. Creating a shopping budget can help you stay out of debt as well as ensure that you have enough money for the things that you need.
