Are you planning a trip to Denver or looking for Instagram-worthy locations in Denver? Here are the 12 best photo spots in Denver to check out.

I finally visited the Mile-High city, and it did not disappoint. Denver has many incredible photo spots, from aesthetically pleasing coffee and plant shops to beautiful rock formations. I’m so glad my photographer Holly and I were able to meet up with my friend Emily @leisurelylane for one of the days. Emily explored the RiNo district with us and we had a great time taking photos around Denver.
If you’re heading to Denver for a long weekend and looking for the best photo spots in Denver, this blog is for you!
Here are the 12 best photo spots in Denver:
1. Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater
Address: 18300 W Alameda Pkwy, Morrison, CO 80465

When I started researching where to go and what places to explore in Denver, Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater were one of the first things that popped up. The Red Rocks is a world-famous concert venue. The natural formations of the red rocks and the acclaimed acoustics make this a natural amphitheater. Even if there isn’t a concert, you can explore the Red Rocks and take a few photos.
2. ReRoot
Address: 1218 34th St, Denver, CO 80205

One of my favorite ways to explore local shops in each city I visit is to visit local plant shops and nurseries. As I was clicking through Google Maps in the RiNo neighborhood, I discovered ReRoot Gardens. This local plant shop is beautiful and filled with greenery from top to bottom. Whether you’re a Denver local or visiting Denver for the first time, I recommend checking out ReRoot.

3. The Green Collective Eatery
Address: 2158 W 32nd Ave Unit 100, Denver, CO 80211

After I booked my Airbnb, I clicked around Google Maps to see what local restaurants and cute coffee shops were around, and I found the Green Collective Eatery. I was so excited to find a healthy eatery – because while I love to go out to eat on vacation, I also want to look for restaurants and more nutritious options to indulge in.
Even though this shop is small, it’s adorable, and the food quality was terrific. I’m going back for future trips to Denver!
4. Union Station
Address: Union Station, Denver, CO 80202

If you’re looking for a great photo spot in Denver, check out the Union Station. We took photos at the front and the back of the building with the trains.
The Denver Union Station originally opened in 1881. The Union Station has a rich history in the city, and today it’s a cultural hub filled with world-class dining and shopping.

5. Tattered Cover Book Store (Colfax)
Address: 2526 E Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80206

Another way I like to explore new cities is to check out local bookstores. I love wandering through bookstores. And if you’re heading to Denver, I recommend checking out Tattered Cover Bookstore on Colfax.
Tattered Cover is Colorado’s largest independent bookstore. The original bookstore in Cherry Creek North opened in 1971. The Tattered Cover location we visited was on Colfax Avenue. This location was initially the Lowenstein Theater.
6. Dandy Lion Coffee Co.
Address: 5225 E 38th Ave, Denver, CO 80207

One thing I look for in every city is a unique coffee shop. Dandy Lion Coffee Co. first got on my radar when one of my influencer friends from New York moved to Denver and showcased this coffee shop on her Instagram. I knew I had to visit this adorable coffee shop during my trip.
If you love plants, swings, and aesthetics, I highly recommend going to Dandy Lion Coffee. Holly and I both got the iced matcha and loved it!

7. Dairy Block
Address: 1800 Wazee St, Denver, CO 80202

If you’re looking for a street full of photo spots, great restaurants, and shopping, I recommend stopping by the Dairy Block. The Dairy Block is in Denver’s LoDo neighborhood. If you’re looking for a local business to check out, I recommend stopping by LoDough Bakery. They’re open to the public Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

8. Babe’s Tea Room
Address: 2401 15th Street Suite 170 (Entrance on Platte St, Denver, CO 80202)

One of my favorite experiences in Denver was sitting down for afternoon tea at Babe’s Tea Room. You have to make reservations on OpenTable ahead of time.
I highly recommend getting the Afternoon Tea (served all day). It’s $37 a person and it’s a great experience being able to choose your tea and eat the adorable tea sandwiches and desserts. I also recommend ordering the sandwiches if you want more to eat – we went during lunch, so we also ordered the sandwiches. You can check out the Babe’s Tea Room menu for more information.
If you’re heading to Denver with a group of girlfriends or are meeting up with friends, getting afternoon tea at Babe’s Tea Room is a great experience.

9. Talk to Denver to Me Mural near Denver Central Market
Address: 2669 Larimer St, Denver, CO 80205

This mural is in the parking lot next to Denver Central Market. Ashley Joon and Adam Vicarel completed the mural. You can find the story of how the Talk Denver to Me mural came to be on the Vicarel Studios Blog.
10. Rainbow Sidewalk near Central Market
Address: 2601 Larimer St, Denver, CO 80205 (closest restaurant to the sidewalk is II Posto)

11. Larimer Square
Address: 1430 Larimer St, Denver, CO 80202

Named after pioneering General William Larimer, Larimer Square was the city’s first block and commercial district. Larimer Square was also the first residence of city hall. Today, Larimer Square has plenty of shopping, local businesses, and restaurants and bars.
12. Garage Sale Vintage
Address: 1460 Larimer St, Denver, CO 80202

One of my favorite spots in Larimer Square was Garage Sale Vintage. Garage Sale Vintage is a bar, shop, and trade experience. You can find curated items from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, Y2K, and vintage records and vinyl. Holly and I had so much fun exploring and shopping at Garage Sale Vintage. We had to take a few photos of this great shop.
I love thrifting during each city visit. If you love thrifting and secondhand shops, I highly recommend checking this spot out!
