Hello, I’m Emma!

Advice to College Students – college advice – practical advice for college students – best advice for college freshmen – advice for new college students – college fashionista – cfashionista – style guru love – college blogger – ultimate advice for students

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and currently live in Seattle.

I’ve loved fashion for as long as I can remember. I knew I always wanted fashion to be part of my life but wasn’t sure how it was going to play out. I first began posting my #OOTDs on Instagram but realized I wanted to do more. So I started Emma’s Edition my senior year of college.

I chose “Emma’s Edition” because I’m sharing my style perspective with you. Emma’s Edition was created to show my take on the trends happening today and where fashion maybe tomorrow.

As I’ve graduated college and moved into the working world, Emma’s Edition has also grown with me. Today, Emma’s Edition inspires the modern woman to create and explore in style.

Emma’s Edition is here to inform and influence readers to try new fashion trends for their everyday wardrobe and check out the most instagrammable places in their city.  I love sharing posing ideas for Instagram and connecting with other fellow bloggers. I also love the thrill of finding hidden gems in each city I visit and sharing them with my community.

In addition to my blog and Instagram, I co-host the Content Creatives Podcast with my friend Maddy from @madcrayy. Our podcast aims to inspire creatives to discover, grow, and own their brand.

Outside of creating content for Emma’s Edition, I worked in the aerospace industry for 6 years. I bounced around finance, project management, supporting the factory, and currently work in business operations. In 2020 and in the midst of the pandemic, I was laid off and I decided to take my content creation side-hustle full-time.

I also completed my Master’s of Communication in Digital Media in the spring of 2019! The digital space and content creation are huge passions of mine so this degree has been amazing. Some of my favorite classes I took in the MCDM program were (and have directly helped me with my blog)  Marketing Copywriting, Psychology of User Design, and the Future of Marketing (we learned how to apply blockchain, AI, and virtually reality to various industries!).

Prior to aerospace, I also worked for a large consumer package goods company as a Sales Associate in Southern California. I graduated from the University of Washington Foster School of Business in 2014. On top of my business degree, I also have a Marketing Management Certificate from the University of Washington.

Working in the consumer package goods and aerospace industries is very different from the fashion/blogging world. However, I’ve found that I’ve been able to bring my creative skills into the aerospace world and business skills into my blogging space.

And outside my career, I’m married to my loving husband Brandon, I’m a dog mom to Boone the Norweigian Elkhound, and a foodie at heart. I also love running and spending time with my fiance, friends, and family. I’m not a very good cook but I’m great at finding places to eat on Yelp!

I have had so much fun blogging so far and can’t wait to see how Emma’s Edition will grow and evolve in the future.

Thanks for visiting. Please come back again soon! 🙂

Love,
Emma
