This blog post was made in collaboration with the Dossier Hotel and Provenance Hotels. All my opinions are my own.

This past weekend my friend/photographer Karya and I headed to Portland. One of my goals this year is to take more weekend trips and create more Instagrammable Places City Guides – especially for the large cities of the West Coast. I’ve done plenty of Instagrammable guides for Seattle so I knew our next stop needed to be Portland, Oregon.
I previously worked with Provenance Hotels and Hotel
Theodore last year, so I reached out to see if they’d be interested in working
together again for Portland. I was so excited when they agreed to work together
again!
So today I’m sharing the highlights of our stay at the Dossier in downtown Portland.

Meet the Dossier:
The Dossier Hotel is a part of the Provenance Hotels family.
The Dossier Hotel has a hotel restaurant called Rosa Rosa, a 24 hour fitness
center, a Well Fit Kit (if you want to work out hotel room – you literally get
a yoga mat, core ball, and barre3 bands), as well as local Portland
art hung throughout the hotel rooms.
Where is the Dossier located?
750 SW Alder Street Portland Oregon 97205
What were the highlights of our stay at the Dossier?

Great Location:
One of my favorite things about staying at the Dossier Hotel
was its location. We were in the heart of Downtown Portland. We were a 5 min
walk from the Portland Food trucks on Alder, a 6 min walk from Target, and a
less than 10 min walk to Powell’s Books. I couldn’t believe how walkable
everything was from the Dossier Hotel.
Personally, I love staying in hotels that are located centrally
in a city. I love experiencing a city by walking to its coffee shops,
restaurants, and dessert places!
You can bring your
pets:
While we were checking in we learned that the Dossier Hotel
is pet friendly. Brandon and I have definitely gone on weekend trips with Boone
before so I was really excited when I learned that you could bring your dog
with you.
You can eat downstairs at Rosa Rosa:
One thing I really enjoyed about staying at the Dossier
Hotel was the hotel restaurant: Rosa Rosa. Karya and I decided to grab an early
breakfast at Rosa Rosa on Saturday morning before we went out to explore the
city. I got a coffee, mimosa, and an eggs benedict!
The portions were great and we were full walking out of the restaurant. Beside the food, I really loved the bold floors of the restaurant.

The staff was super friendly:
The front desk, the restaurant staff, and the valet
attendants were all welcoming and friendly. I actually left a bag in the back
seat of my car and I went to the front desk to see if the Valet could bring the
car out so I could grab it. The front desk let me know that they could just run
my bag out to me and I could wait in the lobby instead of waiting outside for
the car to come around.
I was impressed how quickly they got my bag to me!
Additionally, I really appreciated the front desk and valet staff asking each
time if we needed help with directions. I know that’s a small thing but I’ve
never had a hotel consistently ask if they could help us get to our next
destination.
The beds were comfy:
After driving down for 2 ½ hours on a rainy Friday from
Seattle, I was ready to crawl into bed. But we needed to eat dinner first so we
grabbed ramen at the Portland Food Hall and then
an ice cream cookie sandwich at Ruby Jewel.
After dinner and dessert, I crawled into bed and was so HAPPY with my life. It felt so good to relax in bed with all the pillows!

Overall, Karya and I had a great time staying at the Dossier
Hotel. If you’re heading to Portland soon or planning a trip to Portland for
Memorial Day, I would definitely recommend staying at the Dossier.
Thank you again to Provenance and the Dossier for hosting us for a weekend!

Thank you for reading!
Love,
Emma

Too fun! I’m always on the hunt for a good downtown Portland hotel. I’ll have to check this out!
