Maddy and I thought it would be so much to pull together easy best friend Halloween costumes. Even though we aren’t attending any Halloween parties this year, we had fun planning these photo shoots and pulling together easy diy Halloween costumes. We still got into the spirit of Halloween!
Here are 5 Last Minute Best Friend Halloween Costume Ideas:
1.Witches
This year, Maddy and I decided to save money on Halloween costumes, and we rented/pull from our own wardrobes to put together costumes. Maddy originally wore this dress on her engagement photo shoot and I rented this dress from Rent the Runway. Maddy already had a cauldron (she had from St. Patrick’s day) and she picked up witches hats for the both of us.
Using Picsart, Maddy added smoke and light to create these witchy looks!

2. Gummy Bears (Candy inspired halloween costumes)
For a fun colorful, diy Halloween costume, Maddy and I were inspired by gummy bears! Maddy created these gummy bear clips from resin (you can pick up these gummy bear clips on her Etsy shop at Duggan Designed). We rented both outfits from Rent the Runway – this is specifically from the Color Me Courtney line!
3. Queen of Hearts & Queen of Spades
If you’re looking for a dressy/classy easy Halloween costume, you and your best friend should try queen of hearts and queen of spades. Maddy already had a deck of cards and we both rented our dresses again from, Rent the Runway.
4. Disco
Another last minute best friend Halloween costume idea to try is a disco look! I rented this sequined dress and Maddy rented a sequined jumpsuit to create our disco looks. We added a disco ball and some confetti to add even more sparkles.
5. Slumber party
If you want a costume you can wear again, dress up for a fancy slumber party! This was the only costume (they’re actually just pajamas) that Maddy and I bought. We decided to rent a hotel room at the Graduate in the University District because we thought the pink pajamas and the pink, funky hotel room would go well together.

Wait, these are all such good ideas! Most of which I haven’t seen elsewhere, so that’s pretty cool! I think my favorite is either the Queen of Hearts/Queen of Spades or the Gummy Bear! All of them are really great and I love the edits on the witch photos. So creative!
