Fall is one of my favorite seasons in the Pacific Northwest, and it is also one of my favorite seasons to capture content. From pumpkin patch photo shoots to apple picking, here are 10 aesthetic fall photo shoot ideas. I hope this list of fall photo shoots helps your next creative or family photo shoot.
Idea #1: Lay in a pile of leaves

If you’re looking for a cute fall photoshoot idea for Instagram or social media, lying in a pile of leaves always turns out cute. My tip is to make sure the entire frame is filled with leaves. I also recommend turning your head to capture your profile.
Idea #2: Go apple picking

We’re lucky that there are farms and apple orchards outside of Seattle. Going apple picking is a fun fall activity and a cute fall photoshoot idea.
I visited Bellewood Farms in Lynden. We made it a weekend trip since it’s a few hours from Seattle.
Idea #3: Sit on a pumpkin

If you’re heading to a pumpkin patch this fall, sitting on a pumpkin is an easy pose to do. I visit Carpinito Bros Pumpkin Patch in Kent, WA every fall. It’s one of my favorite pumpkin patches in the Greater Seattle area.

Idea #4: Stand or sit in a field of tall grass

I love that photo shoots in a field of grass always turn out dynamic. My husband and I did a fall photo shoot in a local park with a field, and the photos turned out great. A field photoshoot is alsoan excellentt option for a fall couples photo shoot.
Idea #5: Pose with the fall leaves

Whether you cover one leaf with one eye or throw the fall leaves in the air, the changing fall leaves are an easy way to create a fall photo shoot.
Idea #6: Pose with the pumpkin patch displays

The pumpkin patches outside of Seattle always do an incredible job setting up their pumpkin displays. I recommend posing with the pumpkin displays for your pumpkin patch photo shoots.
One of my favorite pumpkin displays is at Spooner Farms in Puyallup, WA:

Idea #7: Grab a PSL when you visit the fall foliage

One of my favorite fall photo shoots is holding a pumpkin spice latte and sitting on the curb with the fall foliage around me.
Idea #8: Pose with your city’s pumpkin display

Last fall, I stopped by Issaquah to check out the pumpkin display at the old Shell station. It was so cute!
Idea #9: Pose with classic or historic cars

I love how the local pumpkin patches and farms outside of Seattle always bring out a classic or historic car! I visited Gordon Skagit Farms and Mount Vernon and this old truck made such a cute backdrop for a fall photoshoot.
Idea #10: Pose in the middle of the street (and be safe and look out for cars!)

One of my favorite places to see the fall leaves in the Greater Seattle area is Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park in Renton. If you visit during the weekday, the street that runs through the park isn’t very busy. Please be careful though if you do choose to pose in the middle of the street!
