Are you looking for Instagrammable places in Fremont, Seattle? Here 10 unique Instagram worthy spots to check out in this Seattle neighborhood!

One of my favorite things to do in each Seattle neighborhood is find Instagram worthy places. I love finding the places and sharing them on my blog and Instagram. I’ve written Instagram guides for Ballard, Capitol Hill, and Pioneer Square. This year, I knew I wanted to add Fremont to the list.
Where is Fremont?
Fremont is located in North Seattle next to Wallingford and
Ballard. Like most Seattle neighborhoods, Fremont has great coffee shops, restaurants,
and unique features like the Fremont Troll. Fremont is near a few of Seattle’s
major landmarks like Gas Works Park and the Ballard Locks.
If you’re visiting Seattle for the first time and want to see a unique
neighborhood, I recommend stopping by Fremont.
Here are Seattle’s Most Instagrammable Places in Fremont:
1. The Fremont Troll
Address: N 36th St, Seattle, WA 98103 – Located right underneath the Aurora Bridge

Did you know that in 1989, the Fremont Arts Council launched an art competition for area under the Aurora Bridge? Local artists; Donna Walter, Will Martin, Steve Badanes, and Ross Whitehead came together to create the troll under the bridge which is based on the tale of “Billy Goat’s Gruff”. The 18ft cement sculpture holds a Volkswagen Beetle in its hand.

2. The Fremont Rocket
Address: 3420 Evanston Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103

Holly and I were heading to the Fremont Vintage Mall when we stumbled upon the Fremont Rocket. Made up of military surplus, this 53 foot rocket has materials from a Fairchild C119. The Fremont Business Association went to acquire this rocket in 1991 when a newcast announced that the display was going to come down in Belltown.

3. The Fremont Bridge
Address: Fremont Avenue North

It’s hard to miss the blue and orange Fremont Bridge. The bridge
matches the Fremont neighborhood’s quirkiness. Originally opening in 1917, the
double leaf drawbridge connects the Queen Anne and Fremont together. It was
painted blue and orange in 1985.
I originally shot on the Fremont Bridge for my first partnership
with American Eagle Outfitters. It’s definitely one of Seattle’s most colorful
and Instagrammable Places in Fremont!
4. Lucky’s Pho
Address: 3414 Fremont Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103

Lucky’s Pho wasn’t originally on my list of most Instagrammable places in Fremont. Holly, Natalie, and I walked by this place shooting for this blog post. All three of us were pretty hungry so we were excited that we found this pho place!

5. Theo’s Chocolate
Address: 3400 Phinney Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103

Have you ever walked outside of Theo’s Chocolate? It smells so good because of all the chocolate! Theo’s Chocolate was founded in 2005 and they are the first organic, fair trade chocolate maker in America. They have so many great chocolates! One chocolate I want to try next and need to pick up next time I visit the Flagship store is the dark chocolate peanut butter cups.
I love the classic brick building with teal accents. I’ve seen people take wedding photos next to the building and I thought it would also be a cute shot for Instagram!

6. Indoor Sun Shoppe
Address: 160 N Canal St, Seattle, WA 98103

One of my favorite things to find and feature on my blog/Instagram
are plant shops! I first found the yellow Volkswagen beetle on Instagram last
summer during a Fremont festival. I was so excited when I found it, but I had
no idea if it was still around the neighborhood.
I finally started seeing photos of this yellow bug again in Fremont and I found it at the Indoor Sun Shoppe! I decided to take my birthday photos in front of this adorable succulent/yellow bug!

7. Fainting Goat Gelato
Address: 3415 Fremont Ave N A, Seattle, WA 98103

The first Fainting Goat
Gelato location opened in 2009 in Wallingford. The family business also
expanded its operations to the Fremont neighborhood. Holly and I were so
excited when we found this pink store front! I thought it would be a cute spot
for a few birthday photos.
We also stopped by for iced caramel lattes and they were so good! The store employees were also super sweet. Holly and I have to go back to grab gelato.

8. Vintage Mall
Address: 3419 Fremont Pl N, Seattle, WA 98103

I had no idea how big the Vintage Mall was until a few weekends
ago! Holly and I were shocked by the amount of thrifted clothes, accessories,
shoes, and furniture inside the vintage mall.
We originally tried to take a few photos inside but it was so busy that Saturday. We decided to snap a few photos outside instead! If you’re wandering to Fremont, I recommend stopping by the Vintage Mall but taking photos outside since its pretty busy during the weekends.

9. Ophelia’s Books
Address: 3504 Fremont Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103

One of my favorite Instagrammable places in Fremont is inside Ophelia’s Books. They have this really cool spiral staircase that leads to the bottom level of the bookstore.
Ophelia’s Books originally opened in 1997. This bookstore has a huge collection of used books across all genres.

10. Fremont Mural (right in front of Pipe and Row)
Address: 611 N 35th St, Seattle, WA 98103

I’m not sure when this Fremont Mural was created but I started seeing on Instagram a year or two ago. Holly and I were walking back to our cars when we found this mural and snapped a few photos!
